Visiting Machu Picchu

There are a few steps to visiting Machu Picchu. You'll want to buy your tickets at least a month before your planned visit, but last minute tickets are usually still available, as long as you're travel times are flexible.

1 - Buy your Train Tickets
You can go from either Ollantaytambo or Cusco, both are easy to get to from the retreat center. Cusco is 20 minutes away and Ollantaytambo is 80 minutes away. If you can spend a morning in Ollantaytambo before your train ride, it's a very cute town with it's own impressive ruins.

2 - Buy your Entrance Ticket
It's a bit confusing because the page is partially in Spanish. so, we've also included a page with instructions. If you'd like an extra bit of hike, we highly recommend Wayna Picchu, which are bought in addition to the park entrance tickets.
